• There are many mosquitos
(Not too many here either)
• Pol Pot was a crazy extremist in the 1970s who killed off about 1/4 of the cambodian population

• Paul Potts was a cell phone clerk who won Britain's Got Talent singing Opera and now has a CD out and sings with Sarah Brightman

• Angkor Wat is pronounced "ON-KO-RU-WAT" in Japanese
• Angkor Wat is pronounced "ANger WAT" in English
(Japanese pronunciation is closer)
• What's a Wat? It's a buddhist temple or monastery
• Cambodia is riddled with land mines which are still active
(Over 3 million of them still lying around)
• You have to poop on the side of the road in some places, but people will hold up a blanket to cover you
